Why Hong Kong?
- I was interested in Asian culture since I was little, because my godfather has a Vietnamese wife who told me a lot about Vietnam and China. When I saw that the YMCA was offering an IJFD in Hong Kong, my decision was already made.

Why Hong Kong?
- Since my teenage years I have found Asia super exciting and it was immediately clear to me that I wanted to spend my year somewhere in Asia. What I love about Hong Kong is that it combines so many opposites. Nature and big cities, mountains and sea and also in a certain way west and east.
What needed to be in my suitcase?
- My headphones, my schedule, a few photos, a German and an English Bible and my pair of favorite shoes.
My hopes for the time in Hong Kong
- That it will be a time when I can grow in my faith, my personality and my abilities and that it will be a time when I can really do something good for other people through my work.

Why Hong Kong?
- Hong Kong has been inspiring me for a long time because it is not only a meeting point for different cultures that have created something very special, which I would like to experience, but also because many Christians in mainland China and Hong Kong have decided much more actively for their faith since it has not yet become such a tradition in the country and I find this amazing. I want to learn from this for my faith.
What did you have in my suitcase?
- There are lots of pictures in my suitcase so that I can tell about myself and my swimming trunks so that I can go swimming often when I'm so close to the sea.
